Morada Automotive Engineering is an organization that was created with the sole purpose of developing a high efficiency and high performance vehicle using the existing technologies that are used and have been used in production vehicles for the past 100 years. At MAE we believe that alternative fuel vehicles, while they may provide a solution in the long run, are just not practical for the everyday average consumer. They are both high priced and are costly to maintain. We belive that the answer to the immediate problem lies in the application of tried and true technologies that have been proven again and again in the real world, not some fragile new ideas that work only in the labaratory.There have been amazing advancements in the development of intenal combustion engines. They can now make incredible power out of miniscule engines. But in the area of fuel efficiency the industry has gone backwards, not forwards. Did you know that two of the most fuel efficient cars ever were not hybrids and were built almost 20 years ago? Now is the time to apply these almost antique technologies to modern materials and get a desireable, affordable, and efficient car.

History:
MAE was started by an engineering student when he was fed up with hearing people preach hybrid as the savior for our fuel consumption problems. We have since set out to develop a high mileage, high performance, four passenger sports car to compete in the Automotive X Prize competition. This vehicle will combine small displacement, high efficiency engines with strong yet lightweight materials that will allow moderate performance with outstandingly minimal fuel consumption. All vehicles developed by Morada will be run with the same gasoline that you buy for you car now, just a lot less of it.
